Discovery-Fragment Library Collection

The most core diverse fragment library on the market allows you to rapidly identify fragment hits for all of your targets.  Screen our libraries individually or as a full 960 collection. Contact us after you identify hits for re-supply or follow-on library design.

ZEN-LIBRARY 1™:  Cores commonly found in drugs

ZEN-LIBRARY 2™:  High sp3 containing library containing more complex cores with very high core diversity

ZEN-OPTI™: A balanced mix of complex cores and cores found in drugs

ZEN-FLEX™: Flexible cores to adapt to complex and smaller binding pockets

ZEN-LIBRARY 1™ is composed of 352 compounds hand selected with a focus on cores found in drugs.  All compounds are composed of at least one ring with the majority being aromatic (70%). ZEN-LIBRARY 1™ has a higher functional diversity than other Zenobia Libraries permitting efficient sampling of drug-like chemical space. ZEN-LIBRARY 1™ has been used world-wide for over 10 years yielding hits for over 100 therapeutic targets, including protein-protein interactions. Hits have been detected by all popular methods including X-ray, NMR, thermal shift, SPR, and biochemical assay.

  • Zen-DC=0.2

  • Cores derived from those common in drugs and found bound to proteins (PDB)

  • Cores are primarily single ring aromatic (70%) with a minimal number of non-aromatic compounds (6%)

  • All compounds are composed of at least one ring (aliphatic or aromatic or both)

  • Lower core diversity than other libraries but higher functional diversity

  • Used world-wide for over 10 years with hits for multiple target classes including protein-protein interactions

All fragments are soluble to 200mM in 100% DMSO and 1mM in aqueous solution.  Fragments are plated pre-grouped into shape diverse mixtures for efficient crystallographic screening.  Contact us for a quote or order directly our online store by clicking the purchase link above.

ZEN-LIBRARY 2™ is composed of 288 compounds hand-selected to have high Murcko core diversity. ZEN-LIBRARY 2™ contains more complex cores than ZEN-LIBRARY 1™, ZEN-FLEX™, and ZEN-OPTI™ including fused ring aromatics, unique heterocycles and higher sp3 character. ZEN-LIBRARY 2™ has been used world-wide for over 5 years yielding hits by all popular methods including X-ray, NMR, thermal shift, SPR, and biochemical assay.

  • Zen-DC=0.5

  • Contains 288 compounds

  • Composed of more unusual cores

  • sp3 character slightly higher than ZEN-LIBRARY 1™

  • Library is composed of approximately equal single and double ring aromatics (~40% each)

All fragments are soluble to 200mM in 100% DMSO and 1mM in aqueous solution.  Fragments are plated pre-grouped into shape diverse mixtures for efficient crystallographic screening.  Contact us for a quote or order directly our online store by clicking the purchase link above. (back to top)

ZEN-OPTI™ is a fragment library of 160 unique compounds having intermediate complexity. It combines the design principles and characteristics of both ZEN-LIBRARY 1™ and ZEN-LIBRARY 2™ in a stand-alone library. The library is composed of additional drug-like cores combined with cores with higher sp3 character. The ZEN-OPTI™ screen has been used world-wide for over 5 years yielding hits by all popular methods including X-ray, NMR, thermal shift, SPR, and biochemical assay and is a great addition to Zenobia’s fragment library collection.

  • Zen-DC=0.5

  • 160 compounds

  • Supplied in two 96-well plates or one 384-well plate

  • Drug-like character with added sp3 character versus ZEN-LIBRARY 1™

  • Combines the optimum design principles and characteristics from ZEN-LIBRARY 1™ and ZEN-LIBRARY 2™

  • Hits for multiple target classes including protein-protein interaction

ZEN-FLEX™ is the most unique commercially available fragment screen on the market.  It contains 167 hand-selected compounds primarily with high aliphatic character and flexibility to either adapt to 3D surfaces of proteins, bind to smaller sites, identify secondary sites, or navigate through narrow solvent channels. It is an ideal fragment screen for challenging targets.  ZEN-FLEX™ is the lowest molecular weight and most polar library in the Zenobia collection making it an ideal screen to obtain additional structure/function information to optimize hits identified from ZEN-LIBRARY 1™, ZEN-LIBRARY 2™, and ZEN-OPTI™.  It has been successfully used world-wide for over 5 years consistently yielding hits by all popular screening methods including X-ray, NMR, thermal shift, SPR, and biochemical assay.

  • Zen-DC NA since many do not have cores

  • 167 compounds

  • High aliphatic character and most of the compounds (70%) have no aromatic ring

  • Lowest molecular weight library

  • Most polar of the four libraries

  • Designed to find secondary binding sites that could be used in optimization of other fragments through linking or merging, or a starting point for challenging targets
